Join us at Studio 23/The Arts Center, 901 N. Water Street, Bay City, as we help you make Teacups for Mother's Day from 12:30-3:30pm each day on two Saturdays: May 11th and May 18. This two session class will explore the art of ceramics in celebration of Mother's Day on May 12th. Mothers/Aunts/Grandmothers and any other guardian will create a collaborative piece with their child! Each pair will make a pinch pot into a tea cup along with a saucer. This course will work for beginners to advanced. Create a teacup by using hand building techniques; create a saucer by using a slab technique; learn glazing techniques; then create a design for the ceramic pieces. Complete the glazing, and then pieces will be fired. Supplies provided will be 7 lbs. of clay for each pair, access to clay classroom, access to Kiln, assortment of glazes, brushes and tools.
